近日，重庆博腾制药科技股份有限公司（以下简称“公司”）宣布Yongli Zhong（钟永利）博士正式加入公司，出任首席科学家（CSO）。Yongli Zhong博士将致力于为客户开发更具创新性和竞争力的技术解决方案，以他的专业能力和创新能力不断加强并夯实公司技术优势。
Yongli Zhong博士于1989年毕业于中山大学化学系，获得学士和硕士学位，毕业后就入职中山大学化学系任教，并工作到 1994 年底。1998 年，他获得香港中文大学有机化学博士学位。此后，他加入美国斯克里普斯研究所（The Scripps Research Institute）KC Nicolaou教授团队，进行为期三年的博士后研究。在此期间，他从事天然产物全合成、新型有机反应及新方法学的研究。
完成博士后研究后，他加入美国默沙东公司（Merck & Co., Inc.)工艺研究与开发部。在默沙东工作的 21 年里，钟博士一直从事从PCC到商业化生产阶段的创新药工艺开发，期间担任过高级科学家、研究员和首席科学家等职务。他具有深厚的行业背景，卓越的创新能力，并在药物合成工艺设计、研究、开发和管理方面具有丰富的经验。他是一位极具创造力的有机化学科学家，曾主导和参与了默沙东多款创新药物的设计、开发和商业化，成功解决了一系列复杂的化学难题，对多款创新药物的上市过程做出了卓越贡献。其科研产出包含20余项专利、90余篇国际期刊论文，并参编三部著作章节。

Porton Appoints Dr. Yongli Zhong as Chief Scientific Officer
Porton Pharma Solutions Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Porton) recently announced that Dr. Yongli Zhong has formally joined the company as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). Dr. Zhong will lead the development of more innovative, competitive-edge technical solutions for customers, leveraging his deep expertise and innovation-driven mindset to strengthen and solidify Porton’s technological advantages.
Dr. Yongli Zhong graduated from the Sun Yat-sen University Department of Chemistry with both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 1989. He joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry right after graduation, staying there until the end of 1994.
In 1998, he completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. That same year, he joined Professor KC Nicolau’s group at the Scripps Research Institute, Department of Chemistry in USA. He conducted 3 years of postdoctoral research there, engaging in research on the total synthesis of natural products, new organic reactions, and novel methodologies.
After completing his postdoctoral research in the summer of 2001, Dr. Zhong went on to join the Department of Process Research & Development, Merck & Co., Inc. at its headquarters in Rahway, New Jersey, USA. During his 21 years of working for Merck, Dr. Zhong worked on innovative drug process development from PCC to commercial production, and held positions of senior scientist, research fellow, and principal scientist. He has a profound industry background, outstanding innovation abilities, and extensive experience in pharmaceutical synthetic process design, research, development and management. As an exceptionally creative organic chemistry scientist, Dr. Zhong has led and played a key role in the design, development, and commercialization of many Merck’s innovative drugs, successfully tackling a series of complex chemical challenges. His remarkable contributions to the launch process of several Merck’s innovative drugs has earned him more than 20 outstanding awards, including the Merck Innovation Award, the Merck Green Chemistry Award, and the Project Outstanding Invention Award, etc. He holds more than 20 patents and has published over 90 scientific papers in well-known journals worldwide and three book chapters.
